The Vivo V80 arrives in the Indian market as a uniquely split smartphone. Encased in a 7.69 mm aluminum unibody that feels remarkably like an iPhone in the hand, it packs a massive 7,200 mAh silicon-carbon battery, a blinding 5,000-nit 144Hz AMOLED display, and a Zeiss-engineered camera array that turns casual snapshots into studio portraits. Yet beneath its sleek glass back, Vivo made two controversial decisions: recycling the mid-range Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor for a third consecutive generation and downgrading base memory to LPDDR4X. At an official MRP of ₹63,000 (roughly ₹53,000 after bank discounts), is the V80 a portrait masterpiece or an overpriced offline sales pitch?
