Galaxy S27 Ultra Display: Almost No Change
Tipster Ice Universe shared screen protectors made for the S27 Ultra. He says they look almost the same as the S26 Ultra's and could nearly be swapped. He also said this may be the smallest front-display change between two Ultra models in Samsung's history.
What does that mean for you? The phone should look familiar from the front. Expect a new panel and a new selfie camera, but not a new shape.
GSMArena reports a 6.9-inch, 1,440 x 3,120 display, the same as the S25 Ultra and S26 Ultra. The bezels stay the same, and the Privacy Display feature is expected.
Galaxy S27 Ultra Camera: A Big New Design
The real changes are on the back. Ice Universe's sketch and the leaked CAD renders both show a wide, raised camera plateau in the top-left corner. It looks a lot like what Apple uses on its Pro iPhones, but Samsung's version has its own layout:
- Two large round lenses sit stacked on the left.
- A pill-shaped module sits to their right.
- That pill holds a third camera, the sensors, a microphone and the LED flash.

Earlier rumors said Samsung was testing a Pixel-style horizontal camera bar. Patent drawings even showed cameras side by side. The newer leaks don't support that.
Will the Galaxy S27 Ultra Have Three Cameras?
Probably, according to the rumors. Samsung's Ultra phones have used four rear cameras for years. The S27 Ultra is said to drop the separate 3x telephoto camera and go with three. A telephoto camera is a lens that zooms in on faraway things without losing quality.
Ice Universe says the pill-shaped module holds a 5x telephoto camera.
Fewer cameras doesn't have to mean fewer features. Many phones now crop a high-resolution main sensor to get good 2x or 3x photos without a dedicated lens. Still, losing a dedicated mid-range zoom would be a real change on Samsung's most expensive phone. One report also says the S27 Ultra won't get Samsung's newest ISOCELL HPC sensor.
Galaxy S27 Ultra Size, Weight and S Pen
OnLeaks' CAD-based dimensions put the S27 Ultra at about 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97 mm. That is a tiny bit bigger than the S26 Ultra at 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9 mm.
GSMArena reports a slightly bigger battery thanks to better energy density, and one extra gram of weight (214g to 215g). The S Pen is expected to stay on the Ultra, but not on the Galaxy S27 Pro.
